Please Join Us on February 4th from 12 to 5pm
at the Hopewell Valley Winery, 46 Yard Road in Pennington, NJ
Common Threads was planned to be a one-off exhibit, a way to share artwork from the Trenton art scene to communities outside the borders of the capital city. This will be our 6th year exhibiting at Hopewell Valley Vineyards and Common Threads has turned into something quite different than what it was intended. It has been recently referred to as an import/exporter of Trenton art.
Common Threads started in 2013, primarily to showcase the work of Trenton area artists and artists influenced and inspired by the Trenton art scene. Common Threads was forged to empower these artists to build bridges beyond Trenton's borders and to foster economic development and prosperity. Artists are offered the opportunity to exhibit and sell their art and the local community has the chance to engage with them.
The sixth iteration is entitled Common Threads: Un-Common and In-Descibable. The founder and artist C.a. Shofed came up with this years title when trying to describe the artists he decided he wanted to ask to be in the February's exhibit. These artists have been pushing their things forward in their medium, they seem to think what is the next thing for me to do or explore. Like last years show there is a modernist feel to the work that will be on display this year. Come out on February 4th from 12 to 5pm at Hopewell Valley Vineyards and enjoy the opening reception. There will be plenty of art, food and vendors at this year’s event.
