Lauren Otis is a photographer and multi-media artist. He is fascinated by, and returns again and again in his work to, the individual within the vastness of humanity -- how we present ourselves to the world, how we try and shape ourselves and the way the world sees us, the “language” we employ as we present our faces, our bodies, and our intellects to our fellows. His art is humanistic, mindful of history, yet fully engaged with contemporary political and social issues.
Mr. Otis has exhibited work at the New Jersey State Museum, the Trenton City Museum, Artworks Trenton, The College of New Jersey, Mercer County Community College, and a variety of other public and private gallery spaces in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is a resident of Trenton, N.J., where he maintains a studio and serves as Executive Director of Artworks, Trenton’s non-profit visual art center
